3. META TAGS DON’T MATTER
Truth: Without them, users are a lot less likely to click on your links, when they appear in results.
4. SEO IS ALL JUST FANCY TRICKS
Truth: Sites like Google penalize users for using “blackhat” tricks and tactics that boost page results.
5. YOU’LL LOSE TRAFFIC IF YOU LINK TO OTHER WEBSITES
Truth: Actually, linking to established websites can help boost your web ranking and bring in more traffic.
6. LENGTH OF CONTENT DOESN’T MATTER
Truth: Generally, users will feel more inclined to link longer, more detail rich content, than shorter form content.
7. GOOGLE HATES SEO
Truth: In fact, Google depends on SEO to make sure high quality content gets shown to the correct audiences.
8. SOCIAL ACTIVITY DOESN’T MATTER
Truth: Social Media is taken into account when determining page rankings. The more your post or website is shared, liked, or commented on, the better it will do in search results.
9. SEO IS A ONE OFF PROCEDURE
Truth: SEO is something you’ll constantly have to work on. Due to competition, changing algorithms, expired links, and outdated content, there should always be something to improve on.
10. GUEST BLOGGING DOESN’T WORK
Truth: If you write a great article on another blog, it should attract more readers, which can in turn, lead back to your page.
